If you want to trim that extra belly fat you can hired a personal trainer, join a gym and have a trainer work with you or you can save a lot of money and just try my favorite belly fat trimming, ab shaping exercises. Seriously, these are my favorite exercises shown to me by an expensive trainer. Give them a try and see if they work as well for you as they do for me.
If you read all the way to the bottom, after the exercises, I am going to share with you something else I use that has helped me trim the belly fat even more and help firm and shape my abs, that I thought I had lost forever. Yes, I can now see my abs again and when I go to the beach so can everyone else!
I can't actually remember what these exercise were named so I will just number them and describe what I was taught to do.
1. Lie on your back with your face and arms extended toward the sky. Hold a light weight in each hand. I like to use a 2 pound hand weight, but use whatever works for you. Now slowly lower your left leg and right arm at the same time until they touch the ground. Hold for 3 second. Now slowly raise your leg and arm. As you raise your leg and arm, lower the opposite arm and leg at the same time. Hold for three seconds. You have just completed one movement. Repeat 12 times.
2. Sit on the floor with your knees bent and arms flat. Keeping your feet and knees together slowly raise your feet and bring your knees back to your chest. Now wrap your arms around your knees. Hold for a count of three. Slowly lower move your knees way from your chest and return your feet to the ground. Repeat 12-15 times.
3. Lie on the ground face up. With your feet touching slowly raise your legs. Try to get to as close to forming a 90 degree angle as possible. If you have to bend your knees slightly that is okay. Keep your toes pointed up. Now with your legs in the raised position twist your legs to the left and hold for a few seconds. Now twist your legs to the right and hold for a few seconds. Slowly lower your legs back to the ground. That is one motion. Repeat for 12 to 15 times.
4. Stand flat footed with your stance a little more than hip width apart. You will be holding a light weight in each hand. Now take a big lunging step with your left leg. As you do this bring your left hand with the weight across so it is touching your right ankle. Slowly bring the leg back in the lunged position back and raise back to a standing position. Now do the opposite side and rise up after completing. Hold each position for a count of 3. Repeat the motion 12-15 times.
Obviously there are more great exercise you can do for trimming belly fat and shaping the abs, but these are my favorites.
